For our June EAA Chapter 92 meeting, join us for an informative session on all you, as a pilot, owner, or IA need to know about the construction, characteristics, testing and care of aviation batteries.  This presentation content is normally used as part of the periodic certificate renewal program for IA's.

On Sand Canyon Avenue between the 5 and 405. Corner of Sand Canyon and Waterworks Way. AVIATION BATTERIES

with Walter Heine of Concorde Battery

At our Tuesday, June 5 EAA Chapter 92 meeting, Walter will be presenting Concorde's IA (Inspection Authorization) renewal presentation, with vital information for both pilot/owners and IA's.  The presentation covers the following subject matter:

  9. Optimize Battery Service Life

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER:

Walter joined the United States Air Force in 1976 as an Automatic Flight Control Systems Technician on C141A/B Starlifter and KC135A Stratotankers. After 10 years, he cross trained to Comm / Nav / ECM / Digital Flight Control and Fire Control Radar Systems on F16 Block 15 through Block 40 aircraft. He started his career as a flight line technician, progressing on into roles as Avionics Flight Chief and finally as Production Supervisor. Walter retired from the USAF after 20 years of service.

In 2000 Walter joined Saft–America as Product Support Manager–Aviation Batteries, became the Field Sales and Service Manager–Aviation Batteries, and finally Sales Manager–Aviation Batteries in North America.

Walter joined Concorde Battery Corporation in March 2016 as the General Sales Manager and has been the Director of Sales since December 2016.

Walter holds a Master's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Valdosta State University and earned his Associate's Degree in Avionics Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.

 NOTE:  OUR MEETING LOCATION FOR ALL 2018 MEETINGS CONTINUES TO BE THE IRWD COMMUNITY ROOM AT 15500 SAND CANYON ROAD IN IRVINE.

Board meeting at 5:30 PM

Hangar talk 6:30 to 7 PM.

General membership meeting begins promptly at 7 PM

Program begins at approximately 7:15 PM.
