Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):

Join us at this national focused outreach event to talk about how to teach and evaluate student’s readiness to determine an aircraft’s airworthiness.  How and when to report an accident and what types of maintenance and system malfunctions happened recently in our area.

We’ll be discussing findings and recommendations from a government/industry group known as the General Aviation Joint Steering Committee.  The committee studies groups of fatal general aviation accidents and, based on those studies, recommendations that they call safety enhancements.

We’ve chosen the event you’ve just heard about because it’s a good beginning for a discussion of GA maintenance and operations issues, including:

  • Best practices for teaching Airworthiness Awareness in the hope that students will learn how to avoid system/component failure events
  • Best practices for Systems Operation and how to prepare students to deal with an engine failure in flight.

We really need to hear from you so be sure to join in the discussion.
