Loss of Control and The Impossible Turn
Topic:
Preventing Loss of Control Accidents, and Avoiding 'The Impossible Turn' after engine failure.
Date and Time:
Saturday, March 3, 2018, starting at 13:00 Arizona Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Cary Grant
Brief Description:

Respected aviation experts will discuss Loss of Control accidents and offer advice on how to hone your skills and sharpen your judgment to get more utility, safety, and fun from your flying. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and participate in the discussion.

Loss of Aircraft Control continues to be the number one concern of the NTSB and the FAA.  We will discuss the leading causes of Loss Of Control using accidents within the takeoff and landing phase that have occurred within Arizona.  Coupled with the presentation is a discussion on the odds of completing "The impossible Turn", the fatal urge for pilots to turn back to their departure airport should they experience an engine failure on the upwind leg. This is an audio and video presentation of actual aircraft incidents.
