A tour of the Denver TRACON for Independence Aviation's Complete Proficiency Approach(tm) and IMC Club at IA members.

Directions to Venue:

Travel east on Pena Boulevard and Look for the Jackson Gap exit.  You will go down the ramp to the stop sign and turn right onto Jackson Gap.  Follow Jackson Gap as it winds around the cargo ramp.  Look for the next right, which is Robertsdale.  Turn right onto Robertsdale and go down 1 block to the stop sign.  Off to your right is the FAA/TOC Building.  Turn right at the stop sign and find any available parking spot out front.  Once parked, go into the security building and check in with the guards at the desk.

This is one of the best tours a pilot can take as you get a feel for how air traffic controllers work.  You will gain a better understanding of the professional training that takes place and what it looks like from a controller's perspective.

Most of the time attendees will be able to spend some time "plugged in" with a controller to experience communications in an airspace sector.
