Ray Drive (ex-Doolittle Rd).  Go approximately 0.2 miles to Sun N Fun Rd, and turn left (north) on Sun N Fun Rd.  Go another 0.2 miles to the Orlando Field Office (FAA Safety Center).  Please note special parking instructions:

Parking instructions: Sun-n-Fun has asked attendees to please park north of the OFO, and east and south of the Cessna Building.  The Cessna Building is directly opposite the OFO on the east side of Sun-n-Fun Rd.  Please keep the parking areas west of the OFO clear to permit Sun-n-Fun activity there.

Fly-Ins: Request parking in the Warbird Ramp and walk through the gate between the ramp and the facility.  Back-up plan: Park at the FBO on the north side of the airport.  You will need a ride from there to the OFO.

The Orlando FSDO Safety Team conducts a quarterly CFI Special Emphasis Program designed to help Instructors better understand their instructional responsibilities along with covering current hot topics and safety issues. For this installment, we are hosting at our Lakeland facility, known as the Orlando Field Office (you may know it better as the FAA Safety Center).   This program begins promptly at 0830 and ends as close to 1600 as possible. Consider bringing lunch with you; a modest drive is needed for the nearby restaurants.

Note: If you are a flight instructor working in the Central Florida area, or working to become one, please take the time and attend this seminar where you'll learn how to better protect yourself and your students from accidents/incidents, with insight from some of the most experienced pilots and examiners this area has to offer.  Short of attending a FIRC, this training seminar offers more WINGS credit than any other event we offer.

This installment of the Special Emphasis program will focus on:

- Regulatory updates

- Flight Training Tips from Orlando's new CFI of the Year!

- DPE review of weak area observed on checkrides

- Litigation when things go wrong

- Review of WINGS website functionality

- And much more!

One of the best things about this seminar is that it's FREE!  However, if you wish to attend, you must register in advance on FAASafety.gov to ensure you'll have a seat. Seating capacity is limited to 60 attendees per seminar so register early.

To register for this event, click on the Registration link located on this page. Shortly thereafter you'll receive an email confirmation message from the FAASafety.gov system confirming your reservation.

That's all there is to the registration process. We hope to see you there!
