Title:
The Power of Simulation
Topic:
The Power of Simulation
Speaker(s):
Jeff Wolf and Daniel Mahoney
Brief Description:
Flight Simulators are an extremely powerful tool in Aviation today. Their capabilites are almost unlimited with some simulators having such great fidelity with the aircraft , that pilots can maitain landing currency in simulators alone. They allow pilots to train in areas that in the past were fraught with training accidents. They are good for our environment because we are not burning fuel or making noise.
The purpose of this seminar is to illustrate some of these benefits to the General Aviation Community. Whether you are working on your private or advanced rating, you can reduce the cost of your rating by obtaining skills in a simulator that transfer to the real airplane. Maintaining Instrument proficiency at a greatly reduced cost is another benefit. Even if cost is not a factor, the simulator is a tool that can be used when weather, maintenance, or scheduling conflicts occur. . Some attendees will be given an opportunity to fly the simulator for a first hand experience.
