Brief Description:

It’s that time of year again for the Midwest Helicopter Safety Stand-Down (formally the Minnesota Helicopter Safety Seminar)! In the past, this has been an event designed mainly for helicopter pilots. Based on feedback from our last seminar, we have decided to take the event to the next level and are welcoming pilots, maintenance technicians, and management!

This year’s event will be on Friday, January 12, 2018. We are holding the event a little earlier than usual because of the Super Bowl. This is an exciting “next step” in our program as we are making the following changes:

  • Seminar will be held in a hotel with dedicated conference rooms (more space!)
    • Helicopter operators in the five state area are encouraged to attend
  • We are welcoming attendance from not only pilots, but maintenance and management as well
    • There will be dedicated afternoon sessions for each group
  • In addition to the WINGS credits, we will be issuing AMT credits too

Aviation safety is a team sport, and winning doesn't happen by accident. Take a day to hone your skills with peers and colleagues.

This full day of helicopter-specific content is for EVERYONE on your safety team. Speakers from industry and government will discuss the real problems facing helicopter operations in the Midwest. Afternoon sessions will feature safety content in 3 tracks for pilots, maintenance, and management.
