Brief Description:

Join us for a winter fly-in along the beautiful shores of Lake Lucerne. Ski planes, wheeled planes (call for current runway conditions), snowmobiles, and cars are welcome.

Aircraft Maintenance:Learn about the most popular engine powering the light sport industry. Elliot Halyburton, President of Three Lakes EAA Chapter 1577, and FAAST Safety Representative, will speak about the Rotax 9 Series engine.

For the pilots we will have Mike Weinfurter, CFI and FAAST Safety Representative speak about tail wheel flying. Mike will address the importance of proficiency. Don Dominguez CFI and FAAST Safety Representative will speak about the safety aspects involved in ski flying.

Jurg Grossenbacher, FAAST Program Manager from the Milwaukee FSDO will be available for questions throughout the event.

This event is free of charge however food and drinks are not. The restaurant at Waters Edge Lodge will be open for the event and will have food and drinks available for sale.

This will be a Ski Fly-in on Lake Lucerne, East of Crandon Airport, the seminar will be held Water’s Edge Lodge which is located on the western shore of Lake Lucene. Weather dependent plowed ice runway for wheeled planes. Please call the lodge at (715)478-1224 for current runway conditions.
