Title:
Get the Most from Your Aviation App(s)
Topic:
Compare features, user experience, and pricing on your current device app or one you are thinking about purchasing.
Date and Time:
Saturday, December 16, 2017, starting at 16:00 Pacific Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Ray Owen
Brief Description:

Are you getting the most out of your iPad or Android tablet and aviation app? Trying to select an app, and confused by the always-changing feature sets of the major competitors? Is free the best option, or are there features worth paying for? Can I just wait for all this to go away and still get a paper chart?

Compare features, user experience, and pricing, in case you’re thinking about a new Christmas present or want to more effectively make use of your current investment.

Join us for Get the Most from Your Aviation App(s), on Saturday, December 16 from 4:00-5:00 pm. This WINGS seminar addresses how to select your aviation app, and how to best integrate it into your operations and workflows. We will address ongoing changes in how aviation data is distributed and the significant features of the leading app competitors. We will then take a deeper dive into the most popular paid app and the most popular free app, looking at similarities and differences. Regardless of which tools you use, you will leave with a deeper appreciation of what they bring to safe and efficient flight operations.

Ray Owen holds ATP, AGI, and IGI ratings, and a member of the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators and the American Bonanza Society. His pride and joy is a V35B Bonanza based at Reid-Hillview airport in San Jose. His day job is working with early-stage startups developing enterprise technologies.

And remember, the AeroDynamic Aviation Holiday Party will follow this WINGS seminar, starting at 6:00 pm!
