Title:
IFR Approach Plate Seminar
Topic:
Bay Area San Carlos Napa Half Moon Bay Vacaville
Date and Time:
Saturday, December 9, 2017, starting at 12:00 Pacific Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Brian Eliot
Brief Description:

Most Bay Area Pilots have flown to these airports, but have most pilots flown to them in 2 miles visibility with a ceiling of 1000 feet?  What about on a moonless night?  What about a VFR pilot’s maiden flight to these airports or a VFR pilot on that dark moonless night?

Instrument approach plates pack an extraordinary amount of information into a very small space and  with information that you need to know to fly the approach safely.  VFR pilot’s can also use them in VFR conditions. It will make your flying more precise, professional and above all, safer.

Our recurring Approach Plate Seminars take an intensive look at the Yankee/Zulu approaches for KSQL KAPC KHAF KVCB.  If you are an IFR or VFR pilot, take advantage of our Chief Instrument Pilot at San Carlos Flight Center Brian Eliot as he presents his expert insights.

Brian Eliot is San Carlos Flight Center’s resident expert for IFR training and Garmin G1000 avionics. He has been flying since 1995 and received all his training in the Bay Area. Brian previously worked as a broadcast engineer, a software developer, and taught computer science at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He regularly presents at San Carlos Flight Center safety seminars and has a reputation for making complex concepts easy to learn and understand.
