Title:
NTSB Safety Seminar
Topic:
Training for different aircraft Pilots may be operating.
Date and Time:
Saturday, December 2, 2017, starting at 09:00 Eastern Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Dr. Earl Weener
Brief Description:

The lack of transition training has been a factor in many general aviation accidents in recent years. Even when pilots are legally certificated to operate aircraft within a specific category and class, significant differences can exist among different types of aircraft within that category and class – thus necessitating the need for effective transition training. The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a Safety Seminar presenting the risks involved when pilots have not acquired adequate training for different aircraft they may be operating. Attendees will hear presentations from NTSB Investigators, AOPA, NAFI, and Cirrus Aircraft regarding their perspectives on best practices in the industry, as well as resources available to pilots and flight instructors. NTSB Board Member Earl Weener will be a featured presenter.
