Brief Description:

Part 1 of a 4-part Aviation Weather Seminar series focuses on convection and the hazards of flying around it. Participants will be given a 30 minute presentation focused on each of the hazards associated with convection, and a tutorial of the weather products available to assist in their pre-flight weather brief. Following the presentation, participants will be given a tour of the operations area at the Aviation Weather Center and a chance to speak with our aviation weather forecasters.
