Brief Description:

We will discuss aviation accidents and the role of first responder's assisting at an accident, such as, who needs to be notified and when the aircraft can be moved.  Learn the special considerations concerning approaching an aviation accident and the many precautions that must be taken.  We will also discuss the airport environment and have a segment on how to administer first aid.

Topic 1:

Responding to an aviation accident.  Learn special considerations, precautions that need to be taken to protect the responders and the enviroment.  We will cover who needs to be notified and when the aircraft can be moved.

Topic 2:

Who has right of way on the airport?  We will discuss operating emergency vehicles on the airport environment.

Topics 3:

Basic and advance control of bleeding.  Dr. Alleman will discuss this topic with time for questions.
