Brief Description:

Yakima Air Traffic Control Manager will discuss the airport users potential safety issues and concerns regarding flying into and out of YKM Airport. This is a great opportunity to discuss runway safety issues, local procedures, surface safety issues, pilot contoller communitcations and answer your airport and air traffic control questions.

From the North: Interstate 82 South to Exit 36. Turn right onto Valley Mall Blvd. Turn Left on South 16th Ave. Turn right on Ahtanum Road, then right on South 21st Ave. 

From the South: Interstate 82 North to Exit 36. Turn left onto Valley Mall Blvd. Turn Left on South 16th Ave. Turn right on Ahtanum Road, then right on South 21st Ave.

NOTE: The Yakima Airpark entrance gate will be on your right and manned for entry and exit.

The Air Traffic Control Manager will discuss runway safety issues, local procedures, surface safety issues, pilot controller communications to enhance thier services, and answer your air traffic questions. 

The FAA Safety Team will discuss new rule making and regulatory issues related to the Basic Med requirements, and share safety related runway and accident information.
