Title:
Would You Hesitate to Declare an Emergency?
Topic:
Would You Hesitate to Declare an Emergency?
Date and Time:
Saturday, April 8, 2017, starting at 10:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Dayle M. Harris
Brief Description:

Would you hesitate to declare an emergency with ATC if you thought your life depended on it? Most of us would say absolutely, Yes, we would absolutely declare an emergency. And if things were not so bad at this time but getting worse, then would you declare? What about medical emergencies? What about a loss of a generator or vacuum pump or a rought running engine? Most pilots are hesitant to call an emergency, but if more did call a Mayday before things started getting out of hand, it would probably save more lives.
