Brief Description:

Running out of fuel is one of the most preventable accident factors. But did you know that fuel exhaustion only accounts for a percentage of fuel accidents. Fuel starvation and fuel contamination are well-represented, as is misfueling (wrong grade or type) and operating on automotive fuel without a STC. FAA Safety Team Representative and former Aviation Safety Inspector (ret) Bob Dziadzio will speak about fuel exhaustion accidents, and techniques that pilots can use to keep fuel in the tanks and their options open.
