Title:
Avoiding Unwanted FAA Legal Action
Topic:
This forum addresses recommended actions to prevent adverse legal enforcements.
Date and Time:
Tuesday, March 28, 2017, starting at 18:00 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Anthony G. Ison, Esq.
Brief Description:

Being a FAA certificate holder is a privilege, not a right. As a result, when a certificate holder violates a Federal Aviation Regulation, the FAA has the ability to either suspend or revoke that certificate holder’s certificate. A certificate action is a must to avoid, as certificate suspension or revocation can have a disastrous effect on both general aviation and career pilots, as well as mechanics and other certificate holders. Consequently, understanding certain “trouble areas” and what to do if you find yourself subject to an enforcement action can go a long way toward preventing unwanted certificate action by the FAA.

 Using case studies, this session will educate participants about standards of conduct for certificate holders, “hot” areas for FAA enforcement, investigation and enforcement procedures of the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board, and the FAA’s new Compliance Philosophy.

 Bring your questions to ask an aviation attorney.
