Pre-Flight Planning & In-Flight Operations Using ForeFlight Mobile on Apple iPad/iPhone

Brief Description:
At this seminar we will look at ForeFlight Mobile as used on the Apple iPad and iPhone and its use for pre-flight planning as well as in-flight operation. We will discuss pre-flight planning in general including such topics as TFR awareness, IMSAFE, pilot/crew currency and airplane currency. We will specifically address how to use ForeFlight Mobile for such pre-flight planning tasks as weight and balance, route planning, weather briefing (area forecasts, airmets, sigmets, METARs, TAFs, and NOTAMs including TFRs. Lastly, we will illustrate how the iPad can calculate the crosswind component using a calculator app.
