Title:
BASICMED 3rd Clas Medical reform
Topic:
Thorough discussion on BASICMED (aka 3rd class medical reform) lead by a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).
Date and Time:
Saturday, May 6, 2017, starting at 10:00 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Dr John Sciarrino, Sr AME, Luca F Bencini-Tibo
Brief Description:

BASICMED is the third-class medical reform effective on May 1, 2017.  As a pilot, if you only need a third class medical to fly (private pilot including CFIs), you might wish to consider BasicMed as an option next time you need to renew your medical.  Or perhaps even to regain flight privileges. To take advantage of BasicMed, you must have held an FAA medical (1st, 2nd or 3rd Class) in the last ten years.  Furthermore, BasicMed applies to “covered aircraft” which represent a very high percentage of general aviation aircraft.

Come and learn more about BASICMED from Dr. John Sciarrino, senior AME, ophthalmologist, pilot and overall aviation enthusiast who will lead the presentation followed by Q&A.

After the presentation, a complimentary BBQ will be offered.
