Title:
Troubles on Take Off
Topic:
Troubles on take off and their antidotes.
Speaker(s):
Woody Minar, DPE, MCFI, CFII, MEI, CFIG & Jeff Moryn
Brief Description:
Woody Minar and Jeff Moryn were involved in a takeoff accident in August which totaled the airplane; they walked away. Woody will relive their experience as to the events leading up to the accident, what may have caused it, the aircraft retrieval, and the aftermath with the FAA and NTSB. He will share their thoughts on what was going through their minds during the takeoff and, in hindsight, what they could have done differently to prevent it. As a CFI, Woody will also reflect on his training modus operandi and what instructors can add to their training syllabus. In the eyes of the FAA, what ramifications are there to the pilot in command? Enter the new FAA philosophy.
