Brief Description:

This seminar discusses requirements in the FARs as well as recommended practices in the AIM for pattern entries and departures at non-towered airports and the legal aspects of failure to follow standard practices. Procedures at several local airports are highlighted.

Teresa Sloan is a professor in the Aviation Department at Central Washington University where she serves as the chief ground instructor. She holds an ATP certificate, and she has single-multi engine and instrument ratings on her flight instructor certificate. She has over 4,000 hours total time of which about half is flight instructing. Teresa holds a Master's degree in teaching from Gonzaga University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace fro Central Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from The Evergreen State College.
