“Foreflight 301 – IFR “ with Brian Schiff
A VC99s Pilot Proficiency Class
Saturday, Apr 8 9:30 - 3:00 (with a lunch break)
This year the ForeFlight course will be taught as two separate classes – VFR and IFR. This will enable it to be taught at a comfortable pace so that nobody is left behind. Multiple exercises will be used to reinforce learning.
ForeFlight is a comprehensive, one-stop source for all your aviation information including weather, planning, briefing, flight plan filing, weight and balance, checklists, navigation, situational awareness on the ground and in the air, an aviation library, and much more.
ForeFlight is an awesome app—but only if you know how to use it. Come get a ForeFlight checkout from a professional and learn how to use ForeFlight expertly as the tool it was intended to be. This comprehensive IFR checkout will help make your preflight planning easier and efficient as well as improve your situational awareness and ability to manage resources during flight.
The course will include a review of iPad and ForeFlight basics, attendees will participate (hands-on) with their own tablets (bring yours) in all phases from preflight to postflight. Whatever your level of familiarity and experience with ForeFlight, this class will make you more proficient at using this powerful flight tool.
This class will focus on IFR applications of Foreflight and augment the previous (and separate) class: ForeFlight 201 – VFR, where we will have focused on the VFR applications of ForeFlight.
