Meet the Meteorologist
Topic:
Join Ashley Helmteg and Rick Canepa, as they discuss West Coast Weather Hazards in VFR/IFR Flight and Clouds, Fog and Aviation.
Date and Time:
Saturday, September 24, 2016, starting at 12:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Ashley Helmteg and Rick Canepa
Brief Description:

In today's information age, the opportunity to speak with a local meteorologist have gone by the wayside.  Today's plethora of weather tools on the web have really steam-lined gathering weather and preflight information.  But talk to the seasoned pilot of not so long ago and they will be the first to tell you how wonderful and valuable it was to chat with a meteorologist at the local flight service station to get a good feel of the weather and it's current trends before your flight.

San Carlos Flight Center is proud to have Ashley Helmteg, meteorologist with the Center Weather Service Unit at Oakland Center and Rick Canepa, meteorologist with National Weather Service, speak to us on West Coast Weather Hazards in VFR/IFR Flight and Clouds, Fog and Aviation.

To hear these speakers talk is truly a luxury, a pilot will not want to miss.
