Title:
Flight Instructor Open Forum - Teaching with Tablets
Topic:
Teaching with Electronic Flight Bags. Should we teach with them?
Date and Time:
Thursday, February 11, 2016, starting at 18:30 Eastern Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Dennis Miller CFI-I and Connor Rockelman CFI-I
Brief Description:

As a Flight Instructor, you understand that we teach in a rapidly changing aviation world. One of the ways the world of aviation training is changing is through Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs). The veteran CFIs may say to never teach with them, but the "fresh out of college" CFIs with very low hours may know nothing but using EFBs.

In this CFI Forum, we'll discuss what EFBs are, training for EFBs, their use for check rides, common errors and how to teach with this new technology.

FAASTeam Flight Instructor Open Forums provide an opportunity for Flight Instructors, Ground Instructors, Designated Pilot Examiners, and the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) to meet and discuss relevant flight training and safety topics.

Any pilot, not just CFIs, are encouraged to attend this forum.

Participation in this meeting does not result in credit for CFI renewal
