CFI/DPE Open Forum / All Pilots Are Invited and Welcome to Attend
Topic:
Survival, when things get quiet in flight. Transitioning a pilot from steam to digital. The check ride of your career.
Date and Time:
Tuesday, December 1, 2015, starting at 18:00 Pacific Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Ralph Wilfong, Ken Smoll, Jay Bigley
Brief Description:

Multiple speakers with very interesting topics for pilots of all certificate levels.

Ralph Wilfong, a highly recognized expert in wilderness survival and search and rescue will discuss:

WHEN YOU GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT  So there I was . . . . . .

Cruising along over the vast winter snowscape, listening to the hum of the engine when suddenly, silence. After an eventful and (somewhat) successful landing, I took stock of my situation. What next?

Ken Smoll is a well known instructor in the world of "glass aviation" and has been sharing his knowledge of advanced navigation using glass cockpits with pilots of all levels for many years.  His knowledge of how the systems were developed and his practical application in flight will help you in your personal transition from steam to glass.

Jay Bigley is a well respected Designated Pilot Examiner in the Spokane area and he has a wealth of knowledge concerning what pilots do and don't do on a check ride.  The difference between passing the ride successfully or getting to repeat the ride to correct some errors that were observed.  Regardless of whether you are just starting in your aviation career, or you on on your final exam before you fly for the "majors" Jay will have some pointers to help you along the way.
