Our instructors this morning are Paul New and Rich Stowell. Paul is an AMT and holds an AI certificate. He was the 2007 FAA National Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year. Paul also provides technical support for members of the Cessna Pilots Association and contributes monthly articles to the association's magazine. Paul will open the seminar at 07:45. He will discuss various problems he has found that will interest pilots, owners, and mechanics who operate or maintain single engine piston Cessnas. Topics include the Cessna 210 wing attachment issues and repair processes, simple electrical troubleshooting basics, AD research technique, and the Cessna maintenance manual chapter 2A & 2B update.

Rich Stowell will begin his discussion at 09:15 and will continue through lunch. Rich is the 2014 FAASTeam Representative of the Year and the 2007 national Flight Instructor of the Year. Since 1987 he as worked as a full time flight instructor. Rich is the author of three aviation textbooks and over 75 articles. He has conducted more than 300 aviation related seminars. An eight time Master Instructor, he was designated the Country's first Master CFI-Aerobatics in 2001. He has served on the Master Instructors LLC Board of Review every since. Rich is a Charter member of the Society of Aviation and Flight Education (SAFE) and is a 30 year member of AOPA, EAA, and IOC. Rich will give two of his most popular presentations: The first talk is on aerodynamics and the theory of flight - beginning with birds, bees, Boeings and the great flight diagram he will lead us through a fascinating discussion of theory, language, and other essential knowledge. Rich's second talk is a look at how airplanes are designed to perform, including maneuvering performance, climbing flight performance, and the elements of performance.
