Title:
Irritate, Violate, Terminate: Watching Out For G1000 Gotchas That Can and Will Ruin Your Day
Topic:
G1000 quirks, irregularities, and unexpected behaviors
Date and Time:
Wednesday, August 20, 2014, starting at 19:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Ben Taber
Brief Description:
The G1000 was originally designed and marketed as an introductory-level system with the needs and interests of the private pilot guiding its design. While it does a great job of meeting these requirements, it does come with some idiosyncrasies that pilots should be aware of.

Presenter Ben Taber has discovered dozens of quirks and irregularities in the G1000 during his daily flights as a charter pilot. He has carefully documented what does happen versus what you think should happen, and will share his experience with you in his remarkable educational style. Learn how the G1000 may allow you to potentially violate airspace and approach minimums, or otherwise behave in an unexpected way, to ruin your day.

Join us for Ben Taber's seriously humorous take on general aviation and dive deeper into your pilot knowledge bank at this engaging and informative seminar. This event is open to all pilots, and will be particularly helpful for current and aspiring G1000 users.

Bennett Taber is a check airman and training captain with over 20 years and 12,000 hours of air charter experience throughout the western United States. His first 500 hours of flying were conducted in Alaska. Mr. Taber manages flight operations and charter sales for Dreamline Aviation in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a Dreamline Training Captain in Beech King Air aircraft.
