Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):

Precision Approach Radar (PAR) is a radar guidance system designed to provide lateral and vertical guidance to the pilot for landing. This precise guidance is provided until the aircraft reaches the landing threshold. The Army ATC controllers from Grey AAF will explain how pilots may request a PAR approach and provide instruction on how to fly the approach at Gray AAF.

Joint Base Lewis-McChord, on which Gray AAF is located, is surrounded by Special Use Airspace (R6703 and Rainier MOA). Here is an opportunity to better understand the types of aircraft utilizing this airspace and how the Army trains in the Special Use Airspace. Information will be provided on all restricted areas and times/altitudes, and any other useful information for transitioning Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
