Event Details and Registration

This is 2-Day weekend course for Certificated Flight Instructors who wish to renew their certificates via a Flight Instructor Refresher Course (FIRC). Initial CFI candidates should attend in preparation for the Practical & Oral Examinations.

This course will also provide CFI candidates with the knowledge to pass the FAA Knowledge Test for the Fundamentals of Instruction (FOI).  This is a unique, peer learning, FIRC.  Catch up on the latest changes in regulations, flight instruction, and aviation safety.

This is a Nationally Scheduled, FAA Approved, Industry Conducted Flight Instructor Refresher Course (FIRC).

The course will be taught by Scott Johnson, the 2011 Great Lakes Region FAA Safety Team Representative of the year and Tyra Cerny, the 2012 Minnesota FAASTeam Representative of the year.  It may include other instructors, CFI Interns, and guest speakers who work as professional pilots or designated pilot examiners.

Individual instruction will be available outside of class, for an additional fee, if needed.  The course materials are the 2013 Gleim CFI course and syllabi, FAR AIM and the new FAA Handbooks on Flight Instructing and Risk Management.  Textbooks ordered through Stick-n-Rudder Flight Training receive free shipping.

AMT/WINGS credit is available for this program. If you wish to receive credit for attending this seminar please pre-register at this site. When you pre-register for seminars, you insure that credit is correctly applied to you. When you attend the program a credit sheet will be available at the registration desk. The credit sheet is what actually gets you credit for attending the event. Make sure you initial it next to your name. You may also obtain credit by adding your name and email address to the credit sheet at the seminar, but if you do this, please make sure that the email address you use is registered on www.faasafety.gov. You must have an email address to receive credit.
