All about ASOS, the Automated Surface Observing System.  This seminar covers how ASOS takes weather observations and how automated observations are taken in general.  The individual sensors that comprise ASOS will be discussed.  ASOS is also compared to the Federal and non-Federal AWOS systems.  A brief discussion is included on how to make the best use of automated observations.
