8:30-9:00:        Registration, coffee and donuts

9:00-9:50:        Non Towered Airports, Larry Lambert. Nontowered airports—those not served by an operating ATC tower—are much more common than towered fields. Millions of safe operations in all types of aircraft are conducted at nontowered airports in a variety of weather conditions. The process works because pilots put safety first and use recommended procedures. Learn about non-towered airport operations from a professional flight instructor. He will relate how to operate safely in a non-regulated environment and focus on several  safety tips.

10:00-10:50:     Thunderstorms, Dr. Charles Nicholson. Thunderstorms, severe turbulence, and microbursts are leading causal factors in aviation accidents.  Learn in a safe, classroom environment what others have learned the hard way. Thunderstorms create cross country navigation challenges for most aviators. You can avoid this nemesis through preparation and planning if you have the knowledge and skills that this safety seminar provides. Don't miss this great opportunity to become a safer pilot!

11:00-11:50:    Cross Wind Landings, Art Hudgins. Cross-wind take-offs and landings are a leading factor in numerous accidents. Most of these accidents could have been avoided only if proper aeronautical skills and technique had been taught in the early stages of our flight training. As a result many airmen have to experience sweaty palms  when confronted with landing in a strong crosswind. This 50 minute briefing will help improve your crosswind techniques and avoid those anxious moments.
