Birmingham Air Traffic specialist Gary Hatcher will give you additional suggestions to help you function effectively in and out of towered airports, ADIZ and special use airspace.

Due to the increasing number of airport surface area incursions (Runway Incursions) Our FAASTeam Rep Mr. Max Gurgew along with Patti Wagstaff’s video will stress the importance to maintain situational awareness and will review methods that will be helpful in obtaining this goal.    

This meeting is in conjunction with and a follow up the Birmingham Airport RSAT inspection. Birmingham Air Traffic Control Manager Gary Hatcher will explain and answer your questions about local operating procedures.  

ADIZ and Special Use Airspace will be addressed for some easy to remember hints so you can avoid being involved in a pilot deviation.  

This will qualify for new Pilot Proficiency “WINGS” Program.
