Directions to Venue:
From I-70, exit on Horizon Drive, travel north toward the airport. Enter the roundabout at Horizon Drive and H Road, then take the first right turn on to Eagle Way. After exiting the roundabout, take the first right on Navigator's Way, then take the first left on S. Heritage Ct.; the CAF is on the right at the dead end. If you are flying in, park at the FBO (West Star Aviation); they'll give you a ride to the CAF.

National Weather Service Forecasts and Other Services for Aviators

This presentation will cover the wide range of services available to aviators from the National Weather Service, as well as how those services can be obtained.  Additionally, weather patterns in the intermountain area will also be presented. 
 
Jim Pringle is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service (NWS).  During his 30 years with the NWS , Jim has worked at the Western Region Headquarters, Salt Lake City ARTCC, SLC Forecast Office, and since 1995 at the Grand Junction Forecast Office.  From 1990 to 1995, Jim was the Weather Service Evaluation Officer for aviation services in Utah.  Since 1995, Jim has held the position of Warning Coordination Meteorologist for western Colorado and eastern Utah.
