Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):
This 2 hour seminar starts off with a short discussion of basic weather theory, including stability and lift. The seminar then moves quickly to how a pilot can apply this basic theory in interpreting the sky while in-flight. The goal is to help pilots become more aware of weather clues in the sky and to know when it may be necessary to re-evaluate the weather and their flight plan. Lots of cloud images are used as examples. Pilots may find useful some of the training in interpreting weather charts, satellite, and RADAR imagery they received in "Pilot Pre Weather Briefing via the Internet."
