Title:
Undercast in VFR? IFC November Safety Seminar
Topic:
You're Over a Broken Cloud Deck, Looking for a Hole to Drop Into, or Do You Fly Down the Valley, Or Is this a Sucker Trap
Speaker(s):
Michael Baraz, CFI/CFII
Brief Description:
Your destination airport is just on the other side of a broken cloud deck, and there’s at least one big hole right below you, right over a lake that’s obviously free of obstructions. Is there a safe way to get in from above? How about from the valley on either side? Or is this just a trap for suckers?
Join us for dinner at 18:30 or just our monthly safety seminar. The objective: fly safer by being ready for the unexpected and discussing with fellow pilots.

Michael Baraz holds ATP, CFI, CFII, AGI, and IGI certificates. He is an active flight instructor and an FAA Safety Team Lead Representative. He loves helping people achieve their flying goals and stay safe, current, and proficient through ongoing training and WINGS credits. He is a member of several flying clubs and pilot associations in the Chicago area.
