San Carlos Flight Center invites in 4 pilots who recently completed the FAA Airplane Knowledge Test for Private Pilots. We’ll find out how they prepared for the exam, and how that impacted their success. We will ask them what they were most surprised to find when taking the exam, and what guidance they can share with others preparing to take the test.
There have been several recent changes to the Knowledge Test so come hear what to expect and refresh your knowledge on some of the aerodynamics topics to help you get the best score. If you’re a student pilot about to take the FAA Knowledge Test and have questions about what it will entail, we encourage you to join us for this moderated panel discussion about the process.

The seminar will be in-person at the San Carlos Flight Center, 800 Skyway Road in San Carlos.
Note: Construction is occurring at 795 Skyway Road so the seminar will be in the portable classroom just past 795 Skyway Road.
San Carlos Flight Center is on the Southwest side of the airport and there are no transient aircraft parking spots on the field other than the Transient Parking adjacent to the SQL Terminal Building. If you plan to fly in for the event, please be aware that we have no parking spots and that you’ll need to walk 0.7 miles around the airport from airport Transient Parking to our offices.
