Topic:
Hard to Find at Night
Date and Time:
Monday, October 5, 2026, starting at 18:30 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Dave Rudd IMC Leader, Tony Kolar CFII
Brief Description:

IFR Scenario presented by Tony Kolar CFII, Volunteer FAA Safety Representative

This seminar is not meant as a lecture but rather an open discussion forum using real world scenarios to increase your level of safety in the IFR environment such as this scenario: Hard to Find at Night.  An IFR flight at night adds additional challenges, add in low fuel, canceling IFR early without your destination airport insight can increase your stress level and can lead to poor decision making.  You must stop adding bad links and break the chain of events.

To ensure a safe flight your priorities as PIC are to Aviate, Navigate & Communicate.  Safe instrument flying is a matter of mitigating risk, personal minimums and standard operating procedures.  The Sheboygan Falls (WI) EAA 766 IMC Club provides organized “hangar flying” focused on building proficiency in instrument flying.  An instrument rating is not required for attendance.

Guest instrument pilots and students welcome.
