Could your next runway incursion begin with a single misunderstood instruction? Most runway incursions are not caused by reckless pilots—they result from simple mistakes, distractions, miscommunications, and assumptions. This seminar examines how incursions develop and the practical techniques every pilot can use to prevent them.
Attendees will explore airport signage and markings, taxi clearances, runway crossing procedures, airport diagrams, hot spots, communication techniques, cockpit workload management, and the human factors that contribute to runway incursions. Through real-world examples and accident case studies, participants will learn practical strategies for maintaining situational awareness while operating safely at both towered and non-towered airports.

Mr. Mend has instructed pilots pursuing virtually every certificate and rating and brings decades of operational and mechanical experience to his presentations.
