Dr. Salazar will discuss the safety of gyroplanes. The basic aerodynamics, and capabilities. Dr. Salazar will also cover the cutting edge design and construction techniques. Additionally, Dr. Salazar talks about innovative changes in gyroplane design and development, topics such prerotation system, control systems, etc.

Dr. Raul Salazar is an entrepreneur, educator, pilot, and innovator. He is an adjunct professor at Florida Institute of Technology, where he teaches the UAS courses. Dr. Salazar has authored over 160 courseware titles.

Some of his customers are NASA, Motorola, Google, Microsoft, Cisco, NSU, Apple, FAA to name a few. Over the span of his career, Raul developed products and software that include: helicopter/airplane/engine/cargo ship simulators, an in-store digital coupon system, online courses, drone software to count trees/cars/animals and a drone visual recognition software.

Dr. Salazar is an active aviation educator and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) who has conducted over 67 safety webinars and seminars for the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) from 2019 to 2026.
Dr. Salazar has built 6 experimental gyroplanes, and also has done 7 build assists for gyroplanes for his customers. Also, Dr. Salazar helped on an experimental helicopter build assist.
