Speaker(s):
Phil Mandel
Brief Description:

Checklists So Basic, Yet So Misused. Checklist, Schmecklist. What's the big deal? Read, Execute, Move On. Not so fast, grasshopper. A review of NTSB accident data revealed that during the period 1983-93, approximately 279 aircraft accidents occurred in which a checklist was improperly used or not used. Say what????  Improperly used, not used? Friends, we need to put a stop to that. Let's review some checklist-related incidents while we re-commit to demonstrating and teaching PROPER checklist usage.

PRESENTED DURING THE EAA AIRVENTURE FLY-IN.  NO FEE FOR THE NAFI PRESENTATIONS, BUT AN ENTRANCE FEE IS REQUIRED BY EAA AIRVENTURE TO ENTER THE GROUNDS.
