Title:
Part 61 Subparts J and K - For Those Pretending to Read Them
Topic:
Part 61 Subparts J & K: Demystifying Sport Pilot Regulations for CFI's
Speaker(s):
Salvador Valdes
Brief Description:
If you're a CFI who has nodded along at "sport pilot" regulations and quietly hoped you wouldn’t get asked about them, this seminar is for you. Sport pilot rules represent a gap in many instructors' training, and MOSAIC hasn't made it any simpler.
We will break down Part 61 Subparts J and K from the ground up in a clear, matter-of-fact way. Topics include defining light-sport aircraft, airmen requirements, locating examiners, and understanding exactly how sport certificates differ from the certificates you already teach. We will conclude by applying these regulations to real-world scenarios to ensure practical, correlative learning.
Who: Flight instructors (and curious pilots ready for a deep dive into the regs) When: July 25 at 12:00 PM. Bring: Coffee, a highlighter, and your questions.
