Brief Description:

Operating at high density altitudes and on unimproved strips in the "Back Country" demands extra performance from both the aircraft and the pilot. Join us as local member and back country pilot Howie Bohl shares some of his experience and tips on how you can safely prepare to fly in these realms.

Our speaker, Howie Bohl is an ambassador for the Recreational Aviation Foundation. A 4th generation pilot, he grew up flying & towing gliders with a career spanning Southwest, Alaska and now American Airlines.  He owns a Cessna 185 and regularly flies to the Utah and Idaho back country while planning and leading back country trips.

Dinner and socializing from 6 to 7 followed by the presentation.
