Title:
Flying Safely as an Older Pilot (For Credit Only)
Topic:
Aeromedical Factors for Older Pilots
Speaker(s):
Rick Harowicz - Andy Knowlton, FAASTeam Program Managers
Brief Description:
Age-related changes in cognitive functions essential for flight include perceptual processing, some aspects of memory, and psychomotor control. Cognitive functions not clearly affected by age involve information processing, problem-solving, decision-making, and time-sharing. Pilots must be able to assess the possible negative effects of aging. Join us as we offer recommendations for the older pilots.
