Brief Description:

During this seminar, we will discuss what density altitude is and how to calculate it.  We will discuss how aircraft performance is affected with an increase in density altitude. We will go over the use of performance charts, and what pilots should take into consideration when flying into and out of a high elevation airport in hot conditions.

This seminar lasts from 10:00am- 12:00pm.  The Corning chapter of the EAA will have their BBQ and monthly meeting after the seminar.  Feel free to stay for the lunch and the EAA meeting.

Driving directions:  The classroom is located at Corning Municipal Airport (0O4) immediately west of the intersection of N. Marguerite Ave. and Neva Ave. The parking area is located right outside the classroom.

Fly-in instructions:  The classroom is located on the field at Corning Municipal Airport (0O4) immediately east of the approach end of runway 35.  Transient parking is located in this area as well.
