Title:
How To Prepare For A Successful Flight Review
Topic:
Get More From Your Flight Review By Being Well Prepared
Date and Time:
Friday, June 5, 2026, starting at 15:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Stephen Bateman, CFI
Brief Description:

This seminar is part of the 2026 Clear Lake Splash In.  Details here: clearlakesplashin.com (Subject to change, so check back regularly).

All seminars are FREE, but note that other events and dinners may require registration and fees.

In this seminar, we will look at the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to Flight Reviews (FRs) and especially regarding preparation, which sets the foundation for success.  By using a few recent examples, we will revisit the importance and the value of the FR when taken seriously, and the consequences when it isn’t.  We’ll then look at some tried and tested ways to properly prepare for your flight review, in terms of knowledge, risk management and practical skills.  By the way, I’m a firm believer in using scenarios both for training and during reviews, so expect to do more than just “plan the flight and fly the plan"!
