Topic:
Fly Firendly Ventura County (FFVC): A Workshop on Noise and Safety
Date and Time:
Wednesday, June 3, 2026, starting at 11:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
TBD
Brief Description:

In September, 2022, the Ventura County Department of Airports (DOA) officially launched Fly Friendly VC, a program bringing together local pilots, flight schools that conduct training operations in the region, and the community at large to resolve concerns around noise and safety at the two County airports: Camarillo and Oxnard. Yearly workshops have been presented at either Oxnard or Camarillo airports since the inception FFVC.

Now in its fifth year, FFVC has been overwhelming successful in its collective effort to provide the safest and best possible environment for both Ventura County residents and pilots operating out of Camarillo and Oxnard airports.

Safety and noise are on-going issues. That’s why this invitation is so important – this is a workshop both to ensure that all pilots have the tools they need to maintain and improve safety at KOXR and KCMA, but also to discuss how everyone can work together to be the best neighbors possible to the communities surrounding each airport.

Hope to see you there!
