Brief Description:

In this program, we will review weather information available to GA pilots during pre-flight and in-flight, as well as the resources that help pilots make appropriate go/no-go decisions based on weather. We will review the weather displayed on EFBs such as ForeFlight and on installed displays. Much of the information presented here is taken from H8083-28 Aviation Weather Handbook. This publication contains a comprehensive list of weather services and products from the National Weather Service (NWS) and the FAA, including a list of Flight Information Service-Broadcast (FIS-B) products that are available through ADS-B-In data link.

Somerset Instructors will also review procedures for local pilots affected by the Presidential TFRs.
