Brief Description:

On February 13, 2026, an Epic E1000 flew into terrain while flying the RNAV Z RWY 32 approach into Steamboat Springs, CO (KSBS), killing all four people onboard.  This presentation is not focused on the cause of the accident, rather, it is intended to offer some valuable tips regarding: 1. How to plan for a flight like this; 2. The risks associated with a RNAV approach, while using LNAV minimums and the Garmin Advisory Glide Path (LNAV+V); 3. The “Red Flags” found on the instrument approach charts.  In order to safely and correctly navigate with your GPS don’t miss this seminar.
