Title:
AirVenture 2026 Forum - Overview of Oil and Oil Filter Analysis
Topic:
How each analysis is done, how the data can be interpreted, and what you should expect from the results.
Speaker(s):
Wayne Odegard - Aviation Laboratories
Brief Description:
Oil and Oil Filter Analysis is an important part of overall maintenance, yet is often misunderstood. There are benefits and limitations with both oil analysis and oil filter analysis, which dictate how and when either, or both, should be used in a maintenance program. This presentation will provide in depth information about how each analysis is done, how the data can be interpreted, and what you should expect from the results of this type of analysis. Both piston and turbine engine owners/maintenance people will benefit from this presentation.
