Brief Description:

Training will be from 18:15 - 21:00. You must remain for the entirety to receive WINGS credit

The program contains three main modules:

  • An overview of how the FAASTeam and Wings Program can help CFI's do their work (30 minutes)
  • A CFI-centric and presenter-facilitated group discussion as to the means and methods by which flight instructors prepare their trainees to make aviation-related decisions (60 minutes)
  • A Tabletop Exercise, facilitated by senior instructors and played by the flight instructors in attendance, working in cohorts (60 minutes)

This live, in-person seminar is entirely focused on flight instructors and the means and methods by which they prepare their trainees to make aviation-related decisions. Designated Examiners are welcome but will have a separate break-out session during the Tabletop Exercise.  The program will be complete by 9 PM EDT.

This is a EA-61 FAASTeam safety event. Hosting the event is New Horizon Aviation, Inc. 

Pizza and sodas will be provided during the event by the main presenter. 

Parking for those who drive can be in the shared parking lot (space permitting) or at the "Park and Ride" across Airport Road from the flight school.  All attendees are asked to use caution when walking, as Airport Road has a large volume of high-speed vehicle traffic. The image here shows the layout of parking:

3. Attendees who fly-in must park at the FBO, Atlantic Aviation (also shown on the photo, above). Atlantic Aviation has been advised that will be able to provide a shuttle across the ramp to Horizon Aviation.  Fly-In attendees are kindly asked to send an email to Gary Parker at parkeraviation@live.com with their name and ETA at the FBO to facilitate their welcome via the airside at Horizon.  

4. Food (sandwiches or barbeque hamburgers) and beverages will be provided by the host, Horizon Aviation

5. All attendees will be provided a name tag and are asked to send an email with their preferred name as well as their pilot and instructor certifications, if applicable, to Gary Parker at parkeraviation@live.com to ensure accuracy.
